This guy's got an 02 ls6 cam, bolt ons, drag radials, ls6 clutch and a stock rearend with 4.10s. Sometimes they hold up but a lot of times they don't.
Its still pretty impressive for an m6/10 bolt.

But if a window sticker on a corvette says it has 45 more hp

would you really put it past gm to add 5hp to a window sticker over 3 years?

All ls1s will dyno within a few hp of eachother...regardless of year.

If not then why would a 98 be rated at 305 hp....

but then the same engine with an ls6 intake/better heads only make 5hp more?

The numbers are bullshit made up by the factory. Its all bullshit

They all dyno the same.

if you want to be gay about the differences...then here

You will not find significant changes between the years. The later have stronger parts, which doesnt matter if your not going to mod the car. However the earlier years do have some less flowing parts, but if you are going to mod it doesnt matter anyway.

They are all the same in the end.

We are talking about the F-Body you retard!

Second we are NOT talking about them being underrated. I know what they dyno and yes some 98-00 will dyno less than a 01/02. My Old roomates 00 TA with a lid dynoed 275 rwhp but her 02 WS6 dynoed 321 with a lid and 331 with the cutout opened and both were A4's.

I stated that GM changed the rating of the LS1 in 2001-2002 F-bodies

You stated they never were changed and they all were the same in all 98-02 F-Bodies

Hell even by your own accord of the LS1 not changing hp throughout the years, the vette and f-body should be the same too. So what does that even say about this argument?

The hp rating never changed on an ls1 from 98-02.

Please dont play the different cylinder head games either. They are all very similar and flow about the same amount of air.
Just because you reduce lift, does not mean you have a smaller cam, as someone already mentioned there is a reduction of 3.5 degree in LSA on a 2001 cam which results in better valve timing events for the extra airflow produced at high RPM from the higher flowing LS6 style intake, and the higher flowing intake ports of the 243 castings. It was also pointed out that the exhuast manifolds for 2001 were redesigned, and flowed much more higher than previuos years. More airflow through the engine equates to more power which typically meant 20rwhp more than previuos years when compared with similar drivetrains.
2000 SS M6 stock trim same weight running 13.33@108 against a 2001 SS A4 running 12.90@110. The trap speed says the most, also note that this is an auto verse manual, if the 2001 had an M6 I would bet that trap speed would have easily been 112 or higher. Real world results the very same night, dyno the next day, the auto 2001 put down 326rwhp to the Manual 2000 316rwhp.

You guys are going by the numbers on there.

Stupid fucks.

Those are numbers by GM. Which you are going by.

Notice how the vette ls1 has 40 more hp......so then it must be true.

Funny how in real life they dynoed the same numbers at about 280rwhp.

How could that be if the vette has 40 more horsepower?

You are the tool.

All ls1's regardless of year will put down about the same hp. Its a fact dick head.
