i am inspection certified and the answer to all of your questions is:
-no the exhaust will not fail you unless you have exhaust leaks and

-no the alteration of suspension will not fail you unless we can not pull it into the shop or rack

i reject for ground control coilovers and smile while i do it.

i reject for cut springs and smile while doing it.

i reject if i cant lift the car, and call the person a dumbass while doing it.

i reject for cowl induction hoods (over 1.75"/2.25" depending on year) and smile while doing it.

i reject for a car lowered so much the tires scrub the fenders. or touch the body in normal suspension travel.

i reject cause its a honda (well, i cant, but its a good enough reason for me )

i reject cars that have a "high flow header" in place of the pre-catalyst.

i reject cars that have cheap ass race seats installed poorly.

i reject cars that have a chintzy ebay steering wheel in place of the airbag one that came on the car.

i reject cars for tailpipes that dont come out where they need to.

and smile while doing it, 15 bucks at a time.

yes, i am an asshole. you have a state trooper come in to your shop every week to see how you are doing, and you will do it by the book also.

there is a reason for having a safety inspection.

Why ground controls and not any other brand?

every one i have seen installed are cheap piece of shit sleeves that go over the strut, and when you lift the car all the way up, they fall out of place. any suspension component that can move like that is failed. what happens if you are going down the road and hit a bump, and it changes your ride height?

no, but it is not an emissions control device. which has to be there.
