Default lowering legality

ive been told by some people dropping your car like more than an inch will not pass state inspection....is this right? ive had some eibach sportlines and koni's for over a year now that i havn't put on yet

There are bumper height laws, other than that I don't think any of the inspectors care too much. You'll pass inspection fine, only an inch drop is barely noticeable on most cars..

my drop should drop me down 1.5 - 2", just enough to get rid of most of the tire gap

You'll be fine, make sure you get an alignment though or your tires will wear so fast you won't pass inspection.. =)

Hmm I thought the criteria was about 1/2" gap from the top of the wheels to the fenderwells measured by running your hand across it?

14 and a half inches from the lowest point on your horizontal bumper is what I have been told by a handful of Virginia Beach's finest.

i wouldnt worry about it, most cars from the factory wont pass ride height in va.

Inspectors don't care. The only people I've ever had say anyhting about mine is the Beach Police

i dropped my car a good 2" after the springs set and when i went to get inspected they gave me more crap about my factory hood scoop being too big than they did about ride height. You have nothing to worry about.

this is slimsta.. haha, my front bumper is like 3 or 4 inches off the ground :-X
