I will tell you this: All of the people who I work with who have been through these schools are useless.

You are much better off getting your experience through apprenticeship - if you've been doing it for 6 years and not getting anywhere, it may not be right for you. Also, if you want to be a service manager, you should go to college, not UTI.

yeah, iv heard that a lot of these over priced school do nothing but shoot out, arogent(sp), dumbasses who think they are god greatest gift to this earth, but TCC encourages that after you graduate (or even while your still in school) that you work as an apprentice to get a lot of on job knowlege, so that you have the tech know how, as well as everyday know how.

My bro is at wyotech in blairsville, PA. One of their project cars was a nissan r32 gtr. He also gets 50 percent off anything Snap-on or Blue Point. Those are the cool things I like. He gets a real good education there, but I cant rate it among other tech schools. I was looking to go to UTI because of their NASCAR program, but got up and pulled to go to Iraq and now I'm disabled and cant turn wrenches no more...I should heal up, but I lost 1/3 of my left hand.

I got no thumb and missing 1/4 of my palm, not to mention a bullet to the neck paralyzed my left arm. Dr says the paralysis will heal over time and when he's all done I'll have 3 fingers and a thumb on my left hand. Sorry to ramble on, I do that sometimes just so people dont bombard me with 100's of questions just because they saw me on the front page of the paper. I hope to be able to wrench on my own cars again some day. Paying people is expensive, I've always been the one getting paid.

EDIT**Rumor mill says that UTI is building a campus in Leesburg. Also I believe my bro paid 35,000 tuition at wyotech. His rent at his apartment though is only 270 plus utilities.

Ive come across people like that to. Its been a weird career path for me tho started out a lot attented, then apprentice, detailer, car salesmen, parts, back to detail. most of these jobs where supposed to be steps up my boss would say and chance for me to move up but shit would always happen...wrong paychecks, unsupportive managers all the shit stuff you here about in the car business ive gone threw but ive also stuck with it. its all i know really cars and trucks.

Graduated from wyotech in late december. Changed my life thats for sure. If your FOCUSED on school and learning then go to wyotech in PA its the best Wyo campus. However if your going their for social life, i would look elsewhere as blairsville PA is Hills have eyes town. Its getting better and its not too far from pittsburgh but still not that interesting. Took automotive technology with chassis fabrication and high performance.
