There is actually a fewcompanies that can get an import legalized.

Given enough money you can have any car made legal for us on American roads. Most people don't want to spend this so they look for loopholes and pray Customs doesn't find out about it and put their car in the crusher.

Its getting very hard to get insurance for grey market cars today. As I know USAA you cant get insurance if its grey market car that is new or after certian date.

Alot of cars over seas dont require cats, 5 mph bumper/shocks for the bumper, safty class, and shit load of other shit. To much to list.

They cost an arm and a leg because people are willing to pay it.

The cheapest way to get a legal skyline is to find one for cheap in Japan, then find a way to get it sent to the US, then spend the money to get it legalized from MotorEx.

Cost me around 1200 to ship my Del Sol and around 1000 to ship my Sentra from Germany. I'm just talking about actually SHIPPING. I was kinda looking into the Euro Accord Type R, but changed my mind... i think it was about 24k. Talked to a few army people in germany that were bringing in Porsches to the US, they were saying something about them being 20-25 yrs old, i dunno, so they wouldn't have to worry about changing shit.

Where is the best/cheapest place to get a front clip? Would it be cheaper to buy it direct from Japan and ship it? Could I get that shipped into Norfolk, or would it have to go through New York?
