Hydrolocked the B
Before you tow it, drop some auto trans. fluid into the cylinders(not much, about a teaspoon each) and then try to start it. You did "wash" out the cyl.walls, and was only at idle when you sucked up water. Make sure to change the oil before you do. The tranny fluid will lube the cyl and may bring it back, it'll smoke till its burned up though. Its worth a shot.
will the insurance cover it if the reason the motor was blown is because of an aftermarket part on the car? im guessing you have a cai, if you were using the stock airbox this would not have happened. id put the stock airbox back on before the insurance co sends an appraiser out.
The insurance company will cover it and its for sure a total loss. Im sure you bent at least a valve if not a rod. Usually when water gets in your engine you throw a rod. Good luck I know how it feels
well i have a $0 deductable so it'll be free whatever they decide to do. my parents won't let me touch it until the adjuster shows up. as far as the oil in the cylinders...there is no compression whatsoever...none. it has to be bent valves because we tried a compression test and it was all 0's.
reuter- im pretty sure they will because i have pics of the street completely flooded over, but for safety measures i put the short ram back on for right now...if they give me any shit my dad is one of those parents that likes to chew people out until he gets what he wants so ill just sick him on them.

OK when I hydrolocked mine I didnt hear a rod knocking either but if your car is turning smoothly then you might of got lucky. My car wasnt knocking but when I pulled out the motor there was a quarter size hole in the block.
insurance will not cover your car. Height has been altered, and aftermarket intake. I deal with insurance companies everyday and they arent THAT stupid anymore. So if you did want to try and put back you're stock air box, most likely you still wouldnt get away with it.
