how to figure out displacement
for some reason I keep getting umbers that are way to high.
motor has 4 cylinders, 2.4L (2389cc "145cid") and bore it .5 over (oem 89.5mm, now 90mm) with an oem stroke of 96mm. what is the final displacement?

Re: how to figure out displacement
bore is a diameter, not the area of the circle.
(3.14*(bore/2)^2) * stroke = displacement/cylinder
displacement for whole engine = displacement/cylinder * # of cylinders.
You've increased the displacement somewhere between 0.02-0.03 L considering the volume affected by piston shape since its a higher compression piston.
