No problem, but I wouldn't take off the valve cover just to find out it is a Type-R. Look at the head and check what casting it is. Should say pr3, which is a Type-R, or p30, which is a b16 head. Both of with can accept a Type-R intake manifold. If the block says B18C and has a pr3 you can bet it's a Type-R, if it has a p30 it's a b16 head matted to probably a GS-R bottom end. (Some call the later the "poor man's Type-R")

well if it was a type R he wouldnt have bought a type R intake manifold for it and type R intake manifold cant fit a gsr. my guess is that it is a poor mans type R.

That made no sense. He said it had a Type R manifold, he did not state that the guy or him bought a Type-R manifold. I believe I already stated that the manifold won't fit a p72 head. So, it is still in the air as if it is a Poor man's or a true Type-R.

Steve-o, not all B16A heads are p30. Early gen B16's were also PR3 heads. I can show you on my motors if you don't believe

I'm sure you are correct. Now that you bring it up, I vaguely remember.

I wanted to ask that. My motor is stamped PR3, so I was starting to think...
