as title states how can i tell if my jdm b18c is an integra type r or the civic type r motor?

 

its not a ctr if it says b18c...ctr's are b16b's

 

look for the b18c5.

 

b18c5 are usdm itr engines

b18c are gsr and itr engines

yes i know that much but the problem is just that the b18c is jdm itr and gsr how do i tell the difference between the 2!

 

if you are asking this question chances are you shouldnt be buying one.

 

intake manifold & valve cover is the easy way but if its changed, u have to get more in to it like looking at the cams and i think theres numbers to tell u to but i would have to look if u needed

 

I want to say the head will be stamped with pr3 where the GS-R will be stamped p72. The manifold on a GS-R will come up and curl backwards and under. Also, look at the throttle cable, the TypeR will have a bracket on the manifold, and the butterfly for the TB will open towards the manifold. The GS-R is opposite.
