Yeah. Despoiler it, put on the vx ss tails, auto-x painted to match grilles, and some wheels. With that exhaust it should sound damn good. Not sure how interested you are in tearing apart the motor for heads/cam, etc. But I'll have a set of 243 heads for sale pretty soon that pick those cars up 30whp or so with stock driveability.

The Cyclone gray has a slight blue tint to it. The color has alot of depth, and its hue can change depending on the weather/lighting. I have an 06 and get lots of compliments from folks on the color.

To the orignal poster, the new GTO is a great car. I wont debate whether it's a real GTO or not. That's all in one's perception, I guess, as to what "real" means.

What is "real", is that it is a blast to drive, and it is faster than most stock vehicles on the road. If you buy one you will not be dissapointed. The quality of the interior is fantastic for its price class. The seats are uber comfortable on long drives. I have driven it to Dover, DE. once this year and 5 or 6 times to Chattanooga, TN since buying it in Feb. I have enjoyed each and every one of the 18,000+ miles put on it so far. I have had it on the Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway. The car handles like a dream.

The exterior styling could be a little more aggressive, but one should keep in mind the original "real" GTO was also nothing but a "family car" with a big motor which is one of the complaints with the current GTO. I personally like the exterior looks. I have done alot of cruises with fellow owners, and they look freakin hot in my mirror, especially the 05-06s with the hood scoops. The tail looks great IMHO with the split stainless duel exhaust.

I own both an 06 GTO and an 04 Mustang GT, and they are both great cars. To me, though, there is no debate as to which car is better. I'm not trashing the Mustang here, but the quality built into the GTO is, hands down, much better. Its also much better than the 02 Z-28 I sold to get the goat. My wife likes the GT, and that's all that matters.....she drives it more than I do anyhow. To me the ride in the GTO is highly superior to that of the stang.....in all respects. But again that's just my opinion.

The point is to each his own, that's what makes this country great. I'm happy there are enough car choices out there for us to be able to have the debates over what car is better. However, again, you will not be dissappointed in the GTO.
