Being a previous owner of one I can say that I loved that car.. So much in fact that I'm getting another one (yeah yeah cats out of the bag).. Interior is nicer then most people think.. I could sit in those seats for hours and not feel any fatigue at all.. I've make numerous trips to PA and NJ, not once did any part of my body hurt..

True the car is heavy but with the LS2 it moves really well.. Ask anyone that had taken a ride in my car

Also from what I understand TByrnes car is now up for sale.. Price is amazing from what I understand also.. Someone looking for a STS GTO would def be happy with that purchase..

A fellow GTO owner has been putting down something in the neighborhood of 430/440 at the wheels for almost a year.. Stock drivetrain.. Countless number of passes at the track all on 275 NITTO's.. He finally broke the rear end (and he did a good job too) when he started putting down a bit more power and threw on some MT streets.. He blew the hell out of the rear.. Put in a Kaaz LSD and some beefer half shafts rated at 800hp..

He pulls 1.6's and he's now at 11.7@119..

Another guy has his S/C'd and he's been at 517/510 for over a year.. The only thing he has blown was his clutch.. So he decided to upgrade everything at once.. TwinDisk clutch and 800hp halfshafts.. Stock everything else, including his motor.. Well he was.. Not anymore.. 1 of his pistons decided to go soo Upgrades are in the works

I have one and love it 437whp for now 7mos. since I put the cam and shit in it. The car has had 10k on it since I put the cam in, and total on the car is 35k. The car still has the stock clutch, drivetrain, everything. Still drives like new. 100 passes down the strip. I've ran 275 Nittos on it and they rubbed a tad. Nothing extreme though. But you're better off to step up to a BFG DR. I've had no problems with the car at all. No fluid consumption or anything. It's a blast to drive.

The only thing I would do is get rid of the IRS, it doesn't do a damn thing in my opinion but make it more fragile. And it needs a louder stereo.
But, you can also pretty much put 4 people comfortably in it. The back seats are more comfortable than the fronts I think. Gas mileage is also nice.

Before the cam I was getting 20/27 which I think is damn good for a car with 400hp at tap.

Even with the cam I get about 13/26. Only annoying thing is now that I've put the cam in I can't go anywhere without being stopped for a 15 minute conversation asking what's done to it. But it's all good

I think they are ugly and I would not own one. I hope they scrap the current one and start over. Its not even a real GTO they just slapped some badges on it and brought it over from Australia. They didnt even put any thought into it.

Also for you haters. I have a 65 GTO that I just inherited from my DAD. It has 389 tri-power and 4-speed. Garaged since 67 and never been restored(almost perfect). So I do have a REAL GTO not a fake. I will post pictures soon.

want a cookie?

I agree somewhat.. They should have kept it looking exactly like the monaro but they were idiotic.. If the car looked something like this:

or

or if they were to come out with this.. It would be insane: http://www.dpccars.com/car-movies/11...ro-VXR-500.htm

They may have had a better response to it.. but they fucked up.. typical.. Either way I'm getting into another one regardless.. The car is just to much fun and well rounded any way you look at it..

Now I like the Monero.....very un-Pontiac like with minimalistic look. That's clean.
