the reason for the 350hp is because after that there really isn't any point on the street. It's already going to be a hook up battle, but i plan on running it a little this year and plan on making some power. nothin crazy, but i would like to see around 500. Oh, I bought the GT35r.

Your goals probably aren't looking like this:

If the engine is built nicely it shouldnt too hard to spool that turbo. The GT's are meant for a quicker spool with the dual ball bearing.

should've went with a tubular haha... j/p that's pretty good though.

DBB doesn't mean quick spool. Sizing is still a much more important factor in spool speed.

actually it does. most turbos just use a ball bearing on the exhaust. but the GT series turbos have them on both the compressor and exhaust sides, creating a less stressful spool.

sizing is important we all know that, but a bigger turbo that has dbb is capable of spooling quicker than a smaller turbo without as well.

You obviously need to re-read what I typed. I simply stated DBB doesn't mean quick spool(you must've interpreted 'quicker' spool). I can assure you the difference in full spool between a dbb vs' journal bearing isn't that much, and definately not enough to choose an oversized dbb turbo vs a properly sized standard bearing.

No re-reading needed here. You simply said DBB doesn't mean quick spool, and I said it does. The end.

You're simply mistaken, or clueless. I guess the OP should've just bought a GT42R, because it will spool quickly, right?
