Get a "stock" looking aftermarket exhaust... I got a ticket for a modified exhaust (GReddy PE) and walked in with all the legal jargain off their website, had it inspected by two mecahnics, got a NEW state inspection with it on the car, and the judge still didn't care...

So... I bought a B&B TriFlow... its actually LOUDER than my GReddy on my Twin Turbo Z, but it "looks" stock... Got pulled by the same cop that gave me the damn exhaust ticket 3 months later for speeding... didn't say shit about my exhaust...

 

yea stock lookin systems own.

I have a stock looking thermal muffler, with some stock honda tips.

Never been pulled, ive had it for about a year and a half.

yal must be doing something different. my exhaust is loud as hell. and the other cars motor is loud as hell. i never get pulled for it.

i got tvs on watching porn while im driving, stereo bumpin, tinted windows, and lots of other illegal stuff and never get in trouble for it.

you guys must look shady or something. i got out of a ticket last week, 90 in a 45. and everyone i know gets tickets for stupid stuff.

 

I don't think MOST import owners do, either. I think most people that buy imports do so because they are economical, safe inexpensive cars. I don't see my mother revving up at ever light in her 2003 Accord, not does my old neighbor down the street in his Lexus.
And I do know many Mustang and Camaro drivers who act stupid in their cars too. Because I chose to drive my Honda over my Mustang does not make me an irresponsible driver. This whole misconception of domestic owners being somehow more civil and responsible drivers is just absurd. An idiot can drive any car. But I've yet to see a Calvin pissing sticker on a lowered Civic with a modified exhaust, but I've seen them on a few mustangs....

 

By the way, I'm not trying to sound like a dick or anything, I'm just trying to make the point that the mentality behind that statement is why modified import drivers get pulled more. The cops are stereotyping based on a misconception.
