This would work great if he were fighting an exhaust ticket in California.

Bottom line is this: in VA, anything other than stock is illegal. They don't give a shit about dB levels, C.A.R.B. exemptions, or any of that shit. If it didn't roll off the showroom floor with it, it's illegal. Welcome to the Communist Wealth of Virginia. Pay the fine and don't waste your time sitting in a court room.

You mean you don't keep a stockish CB for your car for these kind of times? Swap, take pics, drive to court, and the fine will be waived.

Go home, unbolt the POS, rebolt up the grapefruit shooters.

what did the officer say was wrong with it? If he said it was too loud, get a silencer and take a picture of it and say you fixed the problem. I got pulled in Hampton last year and told the judge that the officer said it was too loud so i got a silencer and took a polaroid of it. the judge asked the officer if it fixed the problem and he said yes, so she told me i was free to go. (I didnt pay a dime).

he's right, been down the road a few times. Don't even bother. The only way to really have a legitimate chance of getting off the ticket is to switch out the exhaust and take the reciept and a photo of the new muff. to court.
