First car.. possibly
WHat is a good first car to start out in? Im pretty sure im not going to get a civic.
My parents are lookin at a 95 : accord : 2 door : automatic : 118k miles, all i know at the time.
If you were in my position... Would you take it or keep looking?

that is very nice of your parents to actually give you some choices when it comes to your first car. My parents said you can drive the explorer or you can buy your own damn car...so i took the explorer. It really depends on what your budget is, did they give you an idea of how much they are willing to spend?

just rock that accord for now. Save until you can get something other then somebodies second hand modded piece of shit (thats all you can really get for like 2-3 grand pretty much). The more you can spend the first time, the more options you'll have and definately the more happy you'll be.

I'd take the Accord if they're willing to buy it for you. Save your money, don't let trying to mod the car be a concern for you at all. Keep your money in the bank (other than paying for gas, maintanance, insurance, etc.) and save up for the car you really want. When you work for it, save for it, you'll appreciate it a lot more when you get the car you wanted.
nothing wrong with an accord to start out with
good gas milage
easy to maintain
gets you where you need to go
won't get you into trouble
