Question DRIFTING! How to learn....

I know some people are wondering how exactly to do this. I for one plan on trying some in the near future. And it will be documented in video. =)

But first, I gotta figure out how to start the drift. Any suggestions from people who actually know how to do it?

toss the wieght around and work the gas pedal. The best way to learn is in a snow covered parking lot with no curbs or light posts. or maybe at an autocross. but I recomend that you do it in a controlled enviroment even still sheit can happen so make certain your insurance is paid up

I suggest finding people that actually drift and have them physically show you how to do it.

There is only but so much you can gleam from the internet.

Remember kids,

FWD cars can't drift.
FWD cars can't drift.
FWD cars can't drift!

Learning to drift in inclimate weather does save the tires, but it's completely different from doing it when it's dry. Just a quick obvservation I've made.

I'm no expert, take my advice for what it's worth ...

Get a good book about racing and learn about what makes your car oversteer.

put the most bald piece of shit tires that you can find on the back and some meaty tires on the front and just cut the back end loose.
