Default Cleaning Carbon Fiber

I just got done washing my car, and I was wondering what some of you may use in cleaning and polishing up your CF hood, or what you may know is good for cleaning it.

thanks, and Happy Gobbles!

Everytime u wash it, throw a nice coat of wax on it to avoid fading.

That helps.

Best thing they can do is clear coat the hood.

lol, i remember in high school this dumb ass girl burned the shit out of herself in home ec (thats right i took home ec for the chicks) anyway me and my buddy were like "peanut butter you have to put peanut better on it to keep it from scaring...if you dont do it now it will scar forever" and sure enough we laughed hysterically as she smeared peanut butter over and open wound lol. then we got yelled at when the teacher (cunt) realized what was going on.

3M makes a cleaner for fiberglass boats, I can't remember the exact name, but it does wonders to carbon fiber.

There is a whole 3M product line for that. I can't remember the name either though. The resin/gelcoat used for most carbon hoods is the same polyester resin/gelcoat used for most boats, which is why it works so well. Better ($$$) hoods are made with epoxy, and can't be polished with the same products.

Really though, get the hood clearcoated and you can care for it the same way as the rest of your paintwork.
