anyone ever try to sell their car to carmax? is there any hassle? do they lowball like whoa or give you a fair rate? ive got a 2000 civic ex thats in immaculate condition all through out that im tryin to get rid of without any hassle unless someone shows interest here...is carmax worth the drive?

 

I had a 98 civic ex with bolt ons and coilovers in good condition, they offered me 3300. They said due to the modifications it brings down the resale. Then i turned around and sold it on here for 5500.

 

damn, my car has all sorts of mods from racing seats, coilovers, and shit under the engine i dont even know what its called


so carmax was not too good for ya eh?

im gona get all that together tonight, see if i can sell it here....but its a nice f"ing car. only reason im selling is i just got me a beemer and this baby has to go. like i said, immaculate condition all through out. but ill have more info.

 

they low ball....when i was trying to sell my 04 gti 1.8t they were gonna give 9k for it and thats with 13k miles on, few months later i made 16k selling it to some dude who was a dubber and he was dissatisfied with a version of my car only it was carmax selling it...he turned around bought mine instead gosh i miss that car.
