Really? I've never seen a wrangler that you have to pull the window and dash out of just to get to the speakers. It's a pain in the ass, believe me, but no, you don't have to do that with any of them.

I could very well be wrong. I looked at his wiring diagram for a minute, but it's been about a month. I've never done one of those style TV's.

The wire in question would be the green parking brake wire that stops the screen from displaying video while the car is in motion correct? If so then yes, hooking to it 12v, ignition preferably, would basically make the unit think that the e-brake was on all the time.

Installing the entire unit is much more than one wire yes, but really isn't much more than a typical head unit install with the exception of mounting the brain and running the wiring from there to indash location.

a parking brake in every car gives out a negative , so hook it up to 12v and watch it smoke
