I ve got a auto and love it. Less stress on the drivetrain. Consistent runs. never here me complaining in a race I missed a shift. Definitely stall it. I have a stock 00 WS6 and Heavily modded 98 formula. Both are great cars. Either way you will be happy. LS1 are a steal right now. I piicked up my 98 last year for 6500. If you got 15k-20k. You can get a C5. And I agree with Ritz. LS1tech is my bible. I built my turbo formula for less than 10k from group purchases(engine, trans, intake, rear-end, and whole lot of other misc stuff. Good luck with it. If you need help find a ride let me know. I got a good line on some already bad ass rides(turbo and heads and cam cars)
im with ritz...get a 01+ LS1...i prefer camaros myself cause i like the ergonomics (i dont like the orange lights in the dash at night)..and i think the camaros are sleepier than trans ams which scream "look at me"
id go with an auto also...unless youre really good at banging gears. then your gonna break your axles if you ever get the car to the track with a decent launch

I think TA's look better, but get any LSJuan and you shouldnt be disappointed.
