Bike Information Needed.
Ok i have the latest and greatest, i used to race street bikes for team Suzuki, i was sponsored by them, not pro, but novice. Anyway, the hotest bike right now i would recommend is the Suzuki GSXR 600, very lightweight, 115 to the rear wheel stock. And if you buy a Suzuki I would be willing to go with you and put you on my Team Suzuki discount, but there are other bikes that are hot this year, but i would go with the gixxer 600 hadles better than most and the power aders are way better quality. i can get after market parts for suzuki easy, just let me know, because summer prices go way up due to riding season at it's peak, i can get you this bike for cheap if you let me know.

R1's are too overrated, not hating on you they look good and if you're going straight they are quik, but the R1 JUST got fuel injected last year! they handle like crap(compared to others.) they do have a clean look to them, but for the money not a good bike. and about the busa, just leave me a number and i'll contact you about the bike.

I"d recommend that you get a used bike for your first purchase. You don't wanna buy a brand new bike and look at your scratched fairings after you lay it down. Some good first bikes are the Yamaha YZF-600r, Honda CBR-600r, or even the Suzuki SV-650, it's not really a supersport, but i've heard from many experienced riders that it's a superb starting bike. Also check out www.r1-forum.com www.gixxer.com www.cycletrader.com for more information.
I did a lot of research and was thinking of getting a bike, but when i went looking for insurance quotes the prices were rigoddamndiculous. I'm 22 and have a perfect driving record for the past three years. I think progressive wanted like 4 grand a year for a Suzuki SV-650, which isn't even really a supersport bike. I got a quote for an R1 just for kicks, and they wanted close to 5.5 grand
. Those quotes were with the highest deductable also. Then i tried state farm and they won't even talk to you if you don't have a vehicle under them. But if you do have a vehicle under them, you can get them to insure a bike as a secondary vehicle. Bottom line, if you want to own a bike and are under 25 and not married, be prepared to pay out the ass for insurance. Oh yeah, safety equipment ain't cheap either.
