Anyone with HID Headlights
Thus being the reason i asked. Over on ScionLife (where the search function SUCKS) i managed to pull up nothing but rave reviews. Everyone in the group buy thread seems to love them. I was just looking for some local experiences, and possibly someone with a TC that has 4-6k hids.
Lumens matter more than Temp (k). Ask from wherever you're getting the HID kit for the specific lumen output of each temp. But usually the trend follows that the higher the temp, the lower the amount of lumens. What's also important is the watts. Basically, the higher the watts, the higher lumens for the same temp. But you should be careful to not burn out your wiring-harness when you increase the wattage, because naturally your car is only designed to handle a certain amount of watts.
Honestly, simply getting a headlight assembly with projectors and having standard halogen bulbs would be more effective in giving you a larger range of vision. Because projectors don't scatter the light, you can push the focal length further than a standard housing while having a sharp cut-off just below driving level. lol, but if you can go all out, projectors + HID's = BEST
i got mine from hidynamic.com. they are really blue, but i havent had anyone on the road complain about them, ive been behind a lot of cops with them and no problems, they are 8000k

edit i couldnt find the rear shot of the hid's

Low beam kit for 200 bucks hig/low 350 i think.

10K for an example. (a bit more purple irl.) Projector housings really do help with cutoff.
Could it be brighter if it was lower on the Kelvin scale? Yes. The light output is more than sufficient though imho.
Do tC's have projection lenses? That's the most important thing if functionality is your concern.
As far as light out put, anything from 4-6,000 Kelvin would be sufficient.
