Default Anyone with HID Headlights

I Just bought my wife an 07 Scion TC and i want to go ahead and throw in some HID headlights. I am looking for functionality, not attention (From blue or purple tint) ...

Anyone currently using them care to share the burn temp and if you wish you had gone higher or lower ?

I am contemplating 4300k, 6000k or 8000k ... Depending on the maker these all seem to be the right choice for maximum light output.

Anyone know the stock temp of S2K, navigator, infinity etc ?

I have checked out the following places companies for them, anyone dealt with any of them ?

http://www.oznium.com/hid
(these guys are running a group buy for $213 shipped)

Just looking for feedback, thanks.

Then you'll definitely want to stay in the 4K range.

Im leaning that way, just reading different places, they have me on the teeder todder between 4300k and 6000k ... most places stating almost the same thing, "bright white with a very minimal hint of blue"

The only way to get a real good HID its seems is to retrofit them in. Most "kits" just blind everyone.

Forgive me for asking (because i have never attempted this before) but since it is a direct bulb replacement (9006) shouldnt the light pattern remain the same ? Im not looking to illuminate tree tops, just the road.

I cant say for your car since I have never seen it done before but almost all the kits I do see for cars that dont have HID in the first place gives a bad light pattern. If you can find someone with it and compare to a ligh pattern that is real sharp and defined line like the S2K's(best imo) and it still looks good, go for it.

I think your line of thinking is oversimplified. There are several variables that can affect the light output.

But from experience, simply replacing the standard halogen bulb with an HID assembly does increase your light output, but also tend to blind the hell out of oncoming traffic.

Without projectors your light output won't be as focused as it could be but you'll definitely have way more output than regular bulbs. Oncoming traffic won't like you much, though.

Thus being the reason i asked. Over on ScionLife (where the search function SUCKS) i managed to pull up nothing but rave reviews. Everyone in the group buy thread seems to love them. I was just looking for some local experiences, and possibly someone with a TC that has 4-6k hids.

i came across this picture ... 06 TC with 6000k ... they seem to project at the ground nicely, or so it seems on the fence ...
