Any way to register the Panoz for street use? Kit car? Custom car?

Hmmm... well the car has no VIN, no registration, no title, it's just like a couch. We have a special insurance policy from Grundy I believe (via my father's allstate agent) to cover the car in the event of fire, theft, and accident while in tow.

I know its not really what youd like to do, but why not trailer it to Bass Pro/Jenros .... park on the other side and drive it off the trailer and around the parking lot?

I know you are dying to drive it on the street, but if DMV isnt willing to help out any, its better than leaving it on the trailer while showing it off.

You can register with the serial number of the motor, but:

Vehicles registered under this section shall not be used for general transportation purposes, including but not limited to daily travel to and from the owner's place of employment, but shall only be used (i) for participation in hobbyist vehicle exhibits and similar limited-use events and (ii) on the highways of the Commonwealth for the purpose of testing their operation, obtaining repairs or maintenance, and transportation to and from events as described in this subsection.

So you could possibly be allowed to drive to and from the meets, but not much more than that.

Eh... that's alot of work to hook up my distributio hitch and load the car etc. I want to drive the car more than anything, not just show it off.

I could probably get a VIN registered to it and make it legal as a kit car if I was willing to add lights, blinkers, a horn, and tamer exhaust, but I don't know for sure yet.

Exactly... to and from car shows, auto-xing, and to test the working order of the car etc. Exactly what I need.

Dont you test the working order every time you drive it? Sounds legal to me. Wonder if you could get a vin tag and title from a wrecked Panoz and use it?
