If you can respect your GF's parents and not bang their daughter in their house for a bit... I'd try to man up and have a meeting with them. See if they can give you a place to stay while you get on your feet.

Then go get a job... any job so you have a basic income. The best way to get a better job is to have one.

Or... like others have said... clean yourself up and go join the coast guard.

seems like alot of good advice here and it also seems to have been a minute since you've been on....I would have to say most definatly man up w/ the g/f's parents, you've must of gotten on their bad side some how, but if all doesn't work out there ,I would have to find shelter somewhere to get cleaned up, go inquire about a job at the easiest place,hence micky D's, if not there B.K....anywhere....goodwills...any lube shops like jiffy lube are the Micky D's of the automtive indust...anyhow I live in lynchburg,va. and have an Accord I can get you , it needs a head gasket, you buy the parts I'll help install, Don't ask me how you will get here ...idno...the accord is an 85' i beleive, but it will run and take you back home....but once you have a ride then what for insurance,tags,title, St. inspection, then regular maintenance? Idno , I read your story , and I give you the benifit of the doubt...I remember times when i was down and out and it seemed , like I could turn nowhere....I pulled out of it, Stop feeling sorry for yourself also, its going to get you nowhere , but in a bigger state of depression....Go and do what you know that you've gotta do bro, none else is going to do it for you! I really don't care about any negative responses to this post from anyone, just trying to give ecouragment like the others on here...G/L whomever you are...pm me if you get any way for this vehicle...

Joining th emilitary will only make it worse for you. I saw countless guys who were there to be "doing something" who left with an OTH Discharge for popping with cocaine. I even saw a few Bad conduct Discharges(Which will follow you more than an OTH because it goes on your criminal record.)

Joining the military shouldn't be a solution. You have absolutely no family?

I know there's a homeless shelter somewhere in VA Beach. If you can't go to family(God bless if you can't), maybe talk to your GF's parents(If you two are serious), or find a homeless shelter until you get a job.
