Postpone the court date and get your speedo checked. Bring the paperwork for the "offset" speedo to court to prove that it was off to try and get the ticket reduced some.

 

take a driving class and apologize to the judge. It's always worth going to court. You might luck out and either the cop doesn't show up or he puts in a good word for you. If the officer makes a point that you were very courtious, make sure to ask the judge to take note of that when giving you a fine.

BTW, it looks like the cop was nice to you. You are just under a reckless driving. If you were an ass, he could have bumped it one mph and you would have been screwed.

 

Keep in mind that if you go to court and they find you guilty and do not reduce it you will have to pay court fees on top of the ticket fine.

I just had a pretty good conversation with a officer I know, and I explained what happened, It is harpersville road near the interesction of Jefferson that area is 45 mph, once u past that intersection, it turns to 25, I didnt want to hit the brakes because there was a shit load of traffic behind me, so I just let it cruise down by itself, then he got me on radar. well I geuss im screwed either way, I wish I didnt go out to lunch that day dam Tacos

 

i got a reckless reduced to 19 over last year, 17 yrsold with a previously reckless and all i had to do was pay $350 and attend the improvement class. my friend got driver's probation for about that. you should be straight, but i heard newport news likes to rape speeders
