all motor camero?
The motors are "detuned" due to emissions restrictions - No shit.
They're also "detuned" so as not to "compete" with the Vette - No shit.
They're also "detuned" because they're "pony" cars, and I think getting 400-500hp for $25k is a bit lofty. Fbodies and GT's fill a certain niche, and they do it very well.
My, because a website says it, it must be 100% true. Hey, genius, there's a thing called being underrated. EVERYONE knows that LS1's easily do 315 at the WHEELS.
You really thing beating a GT is impressive? It really isn't.
I've known a handful of guys with Z06s, all have raced them. I have known roughly the same amount of C5 guys, where only a couple would push the gas.
The z06 is meant to be raced, I'm sure most old men who aren't interested in that at all, and just want to own a Corvette would stick to the much cheaper C5.
I threw "cheap" parts on my Prelude - right, because there are SO many aftermarket companies that SELL parts for Preludes, let me tell you. No, I had an Injen intake, DC Ceramic header, some other things I can't even remember, and a Venom VCN1000 kit.
It ran 13.8 the first time I took it to the track.
So you're saying you've seen an H22a Prelude make 300hp AT THE WHEELS, with tuning, and cams? ROFL. You're an idiot.
You can get an M3 for 50k over a Z06 - Who cares? You'd be the idiot.
You sound like the typical anti-domestic ricer. And you've supposedly been driving before I was born, yet you're rolling in a Prelude - cool, my dream is to be 35+ and still be driving a FWD Honda.

Step away from the internet site HP quotes and get some real world info.
LS1's dyno anywhere from 290-310 at the wheels.
And if you beat a 99+ GT, you beat someone that hasnt a clue how to drive.
You shouldnt make such broad statements as before, b/c your foot is definetly in your mouth.

look.. this shit anit worth my time... all you guys do is bitch and try to talk shit... the camaro has 18" wheels on NORMAL daily driven tires... NOT slicks NOT drag radials... no way in hell this car is goin 11's on NORMAL street tires "NOT MT ET STREETS" this is ur basic camaro with MINOR mods... vs a Turbo Integra GSR fully built!!! that has trap speeds over over 117 in the qr mile wile spinnin first in second and most of third gear. YOU GUYS HAVE NO FUCKEN CLUE what is done to the integ so quit wasten ur time sayen v8's are sooo fucken fast... yes they can be but so can everything else.... all im gonna say is this... fully built boosted/sprayed motors are not to messed with espcially when there tuned and run crazy as hell!!!

"no ram air induction" im talken very few mods with very normal street tires... and as for the person whipty fucken doo about 386 in a vette... hey dumb ass... its a c5 350 flywheel horse power... all its done is intake exhaust power tuner and a 125 wet nx shot.. lets added up whats 386+125=511 hp... i dont think you fucken rice burner is gonna be fucken with that any time soon...

camaro dosent have half the shit the vette has, plus... the gears are differnt automatics i belive come with a gear lower then 342's my dad just put 373's in his vete and sold his stock 342 gears to a automatic camaro because of the gear being so low. Camaro's have the same bottom end but as for the other parts intake manifold, ecu, tuning, and misc other things it dosent have from factory the benefits the vette has. Now if he switched over to z06 parts i could see some power... but... my buddy who has a SS camaro has , intake, exhaust, chip, headers,no cats, under drive pullies, slp heads with, valve springs, porterd head, pistons, rods, 373 gears and drag radials... his car is fast. espically when he srays his 2 stage nitrous kit.... but with out nitrous my buddies integ rolls on him... so... a z28 with intake, exhuast, chip, headers, to me has no chance.

There are, you just have to have enough of a clue to look for them in the right places.
No, I had an Injen intake,
Ok good start.
DC Ceramic header,
GARBAGE
some other things I can't even remember, and a Venom VCN1000 kit.
Not a bad kit but WAY overpriced,
It ran 13.8 the first time I took it to the track.
N/A? in a 5th Gen? I am definetly calling bullshit on that, I know guys that run 13.8-13.6's with 9psi of JRSC boost. so unless you are talking about a 4th gen VTEC or highly modded Si your full of it.

What the hell is your definition of detuned? Selling a car with huge thick headers, heads that are completely crappy, and an tiny exhaust, all for the sake of emissions regulations AND to be more quiet for the customers that don't want some horribly loud beast, AND so as not to compete head to head with the same Manufacturers "supercar", is detuned.
You seem to think I'm talking about throwing the car on the dyno and actually tuning it, I'm not.
1992 Si, ran 13.8 on my 17" 25+lb rims, full air, FULL dvd/plexiglass/tv soundsystem.
And believe me, I owned this car and had all my modifications done to it LONG before the Prelude aftermarket became popular, and 260whp is a far cry from 300.
You said that an h22a can gain 20-30hp from just an AFC tune, then another 40-60 (around there) for throwing in a cam and internals. That's 300.
PS: You have noticed everyones disagreeing with you, have you not? Maybe you should take that into consideration next time you post with incorrect information.
