your veiw on the school is based on how much knowledge you have going in im currently a student in the diesel program and i think it is a load of shit but i need the peice of papoer for the job i want i have been around cars since i was 8. but my class mate that had very little wrech time before he came thinks that the school is the shit he says that he actually has learned alot. all the school teaches is the basics of what you need to know to build the proper skill.
imo get in a shop on the ground floor tell em youll work for dirt ( for a small time) then theyll teach you exactlly what you need to know

I'm going there right now for the Automotive program just b/c I need the piece of paper they give me. They haven't really taught me much that I didn't already know going in there (Dad's an Engineer), but I need the certificate to get my foot in the door. I certainly wouldn't go there for the High-Performance program, unless you want to learn how people built fast cars in the 80's and 90's.

i went there. i mean i picked up a decent amount because i got a decent amount of wrench time and payed attention in class. i also didnt have a lot of knowledge going in. but like derek mentioned, i have heard great things about TCC's program and that it is waaayyyyyyyy cheaper.

Everybody thinks that TCC is a crappy place to go, but you actually get a decent education from there if you pay attention and go to class. There automotive program is great to, have a couple friends going through it and love it. Plus they just built a new building for the automotive program that is supposed to be pretty sweet.
Have a friend going to ATI and hates it, way over priced, dumb teachers, and half the students there are completely retarded when it comes to turning a wrench.

My better techs have come from TCC rather than ATI 85% of the time. And then the few good techs I've gotten from ATI, say that ATI is bullshit and they should have gone to TCC.

Seriously, I went to that school & its sucks. There are way too many students / teacher ratio.
Go to TCC the even have a Honda program which I may take in the fall.
