91 integra questions
hey folks. Kinda new to the import world. I've been on the forums for a little bit, just reading posts mostly. dont post myself...till now
I'm about to buy a '91 Integra GS with an automatic for a daily driver. The body is in flawless condition and motor and tranny seem to be fine. It has two issues. One is it has an exhaust leak at the muffler (very minor issue) and the other is that the upper control arm on the passenger side separated from the body... the part of the body it attached to seemed to just crack from rust. Rust doesnt seem to be spread out, its just concentrated at that point where the control arm hooked up. Everything else on the car seems to be perfect.
Im getting this car for $500. seems like a steal. Is it worth it? Are these auto tranny 'tegs reliable? Is there any other reason the owner may be unloading this car for so cheap. Title is clear by the way.
My wife is giving me shit about buying it and I just have a feeling its a good deal even after the cost of repairs.
I'd appreciate any input. Worse comes to worse I should still be able to sell it for what I bought it for right?

Re: 91 integra questions
you CAN buy an inner fender apron. have a body shop do the work. or if you weld, i suppose you could cut a panel out of a junk car or fabricate a new piece. but, seriously, it would be easier the first way.
