Default 90 civic hatch basic swap question

with a crx i was told for a b18 the frame would have to be widened or something, what about with a civic hatch, what would be the best jaydeem engine to get that wouldnt require frame mods to fit it? i mean motor mounts are ok, i can handle changing them out and moving if necessary, but not looking to get into the cost of widening the frame. last time i was into hondas was back in 99..... need some advice from all you 14 sec and under hatches out there. im just looking to start a project hopefully, and want to start with the engine and work my way out.

you dont have to modify anything for a b18. just get some hasport motor mounts and shift linkage and swap in the motor. no pick deal.
