well I blew my first head-gasket today on my 94 ex coupe. It was leaking some coolant. Don't know what to do, I'm short on cash. Figured I would at least ask you guys. Should I take it to a shop?? I don't want to get raped on labor. Or can this be replaced with a few friends and I in a day or so.

Where would you recommend I take it to get serviced.

get head shaved (if needed) and replace the gasket... nothing hard. did you let it over heat alot?

maybe new head studs too

 

that'll do it....

new water pump / timing belt while youre at it.

 

Check out honda tech and i'm sure there is a step by step write up on there so you have somethign to follow. Its really not hard though.

 

Replace head gasket yourself, get shop to do it. Replace motor yourself, get shop to do it.

 

i can replace it for you 100 dollars and i got the tools
