Fine Tuned TV Show
Anyone watch this show on the Speed Channel? It's like Pimp My ride w/o the shitty cars. They were fixing up a civic coupe and I was surprised when they said things like "5 lug conversion", "hondata", and "takata harness". I wouldn't mind owning the cars they've put together.

True, no wild color scheme and true JDM tuners, password JDM is one of the sponsors also.

I caught the very end of this. Normally I could care less for Civics, but I was truly impressed with what they did. No bubble machine, fish tank, outrageous body kits, etc.... like every other "tuner" show these days.

I've been following this show for a while too. I think its an awesome show, and you're seeing actual real-built cars because the people building them are not from the show scene. They are from the racing/tuner scene. i mean Jojo is a professional drag racer. The show has seen many cameos from people very big into the scene. Skunk 2 sent Tony Shagday (the driver of their All Motor car and Marketing Director) to deliver the parts. Whoever the producer is has listened to the guys in the scene to get a real show that people will like.

Re: Fine Tuned TV Show
Here:
He said "I want a custom twin ball-bearing Garrett turbo setup."
Then they said "Let's do a Vortech SC. It'll be more reliable and have better power." Hahaha. They know who their sponsors are.
Later they say the CO2 intercooler sprayer will add 60hp. Then they dyno the whole thing. Baseline was 240 and after everything they get 326 or something like that. Then they say "That's almost 100hp!!!" When in reality it's 86hp. And 60 of that had to be the intercooler sprayer.

But I'm not gonna base my judgment on that. I'll have to watch the other episodes. Still a cool show though.
