Witnessed Terrible Accident on J.Clyde Morris
I have no sympathy for drunk drivers either but I pray that the majority of the population who don't think anything of putting the keys in the ignition and driving off after a few drinks get an eye opener before they hurt themselves or someone else.
No one deserves to die for a mistake. They should have an opportunity to learn from it, whether that means being placed in handcuffs and serving jail time, being forced to go to an alcohol class, or losing their driving priviledges and vehicle for x amount of time. Unfortunately most people never get that eye opener or second chance before they take someone elses (or their own) life. It's all over at that point.

I agree with you deleting that thread whole heartedly and to the fifth power.
I work at a bar and every night I drive home as careful/cautious as possible because I know I'm coming home at the same time and on the same roads as the idiots that just finished drinking.
I think DUI checkpoints are a great thing.
I think you took my post the wrong way...

woa, thats crazy. Anyone seen any accidents on I-64 eastbound about a mile before the mercury exit on Sunday? I was driving and saw a ladder fall off a truck. I am lucky that the guy passed me 2 lanes over, because I would have been right behind it. I immediately called #77 and reported it, but I dont know if anything happened. Its hard to miss a ladder on the interstate if it is across the road.
Maybe you'll also want to look at the fact that I posted in this thread long before the other one got heated.
But, it is quite funny to me to know that you are fuming on your end of the keyboard. Way to be consistent :Brock.
It was a rough day. I had to pass by the accident scene this morning, and I actually pulled in to the Starbucks parking lot this morning. You are able to see tire marks from the car about 4 1/2 feet up the traffic signal pole.
And this afternoon there was a Black gentleman walking around by the pole, this afternoon, aimlessly looking around. I believe it may have been the victims father.
But whether the victim deserves to die or not because he was driving drunk is not our choice. None of you were there to witness what Corey and I witnessed, so for you people to say he should die is ruthless. I myself didnt go to sleep until 4am and thought about this all day long. Its something that I will remember the rest of my life.

I assume you believe getting shot would hurt right? Would you rather get shot and find out for yourself or just go on what everyone else that has been tells you? Learn from all the other idiots that have died from doing this, don't experience it yourself and need to learn from that.
