What part of Virginia Beach are you from?

 

Someone who thinks Hampton isn't ghetto, name one public highschool, or college that isn't ghetto. I used to love Hampton, but its gone down hill since Ft Monroe closed.

Hampton isn't in the news because it doesn't suprise people. I'll bet you don't hear about much crime in Compton when you live in California. I guess because you don't hear about it on the news means its not a bad place to be. As far as I remember crime was more petty shit, like cars getting keyed, houses getting robbed..etc. But it happens so much its pathetic.

There were house break ins ALL the time in Willow Oaks. I even had someone break into my house in Howe Farms, a rich neighborhood, but he got caught. People used to break into my neighbors garages and steal shit, and I dont think I knew one person with a car who hadn't had it broken into a few times.

Like the other guy said, its full of wiggers who watch too many rap videos and think they are in Compton and have to REpRUZNT.

And the people who arent like that, are complete druggies.

There are definately nice areas out there - Why? BECAUSE THEY'RE ON THE WATER. At least I cant think of one nice area out there not on the water.

But goodluck, hopefully you'll move before you have kids.

Disclaimer; Im not saying everyone in Hampton is ghetto, hell most of the people I'm still in contact with from elementary/middleschool are at Va Tech or UVA now, but Hampton is "fast" and not a place I would ever have my kids grow up. I can also name two kids I knew growing up who were shot and killed in the past 5 years while minding their own business in Hampton.

 

Odd, Ive lived in Willow Oaks for almost the last 10 years, and havent heard of 1 house being broken in to. The worst thing that happened was probably the Chris Tromley incident, but that could have happened anywhere but it really sucked

 

I played hockey w/ Kevin Tromley for a few years. Really sad.

The area by Syms MS had breakins all the time, mainly those townhouses. And that one road going away from Syms too.

I lived at Lillian Court for awhile, then at the very front of howe farms for 7 years

Hampton wasnt bad until West moved in. I've heard of rapings right behind it in the walkways and everything.

i went to lindsey middle school, buckroe skills, and hampton high for a little bit and never had no problems with any one shit i lived on the queen street end of pine chapel road for 5 years and never had a problem and as many of you may know pine chapel was one of the worst areas..
i have to say that if i was going to live in hampton i would live in the fox hill area or down closer to langley speedway but but it is like everything else you have the good with the bad...
