I lived there after Germany from 91-97 in Howe Farms.
That place is a shithole cesspool. I can't count how many 13-15 yo girls were having kids when I was in middle school there.
It actually wasn't THAT bad there until West moved in.

are you forgetting about the bethel area/northampton., michael woods, hampton woods, farmington. if thats not decent living then shit. ghettoness of hampton is overated compared to other cities in the tidewater area. watch the news hampton is rarely in it but yet norfolk,portsmouth, and downtown newport news every damn night something bad happens. and nowhere in hampton is a place as bad as downtown newport news or the worste regions of norfolk.

Yeah we really needa know what area you plan on moving to. It also depends on what you call 'ghetto'. And if ghetto is your thing you might like it, shit if I know.
And for people calling Newport News bad, no, not that bad if you think about the entire city. NN is a rather long city and only a small part of it actually has that high of a crime rate... Oh, I guess I mean 'ghetto'.

thank you. hampton is not completely ghetto. just like newport news. you have youre nice areas, and youre not so nice areas. if youre moving down near kingstreet n all that bs, yes.. youll be in the ghetto. if youre moving to north hampton, you wont be in the ghetto. ill be moving to hampton in janurary.. north hampton, though. its NOT bad. i like this area. im in hampton ALL the time, some of you rarely ever go there and can say that all of it is ghetto? right.

watch out for ray-ray a homeless guy that lives in a shopping cart, under a bridge beside the railroad tracks. near the 711 off oyster point, yea he can be easily spotted because he has severly obese german shepard that wears a eye patch. good luck, and don't make eye contact.
