Wedding Photographer in 757?
1500 for a wedding damn that’s dirt cheap!!! Honestly for 1500bucks you don’t get much.. 1500 is not a lot of money at all when it comes to wedding photog.. id either cough up some more money or lower my expectations.
okay. Here is what I want. I want someone with professional qualities to take the pictures, and I want rights to some of the good photos. The break down of the price that the photographer had was:
4hrs of work : $400+
photobook: $900 for ugly one or $1300 for nice one
plus some other things which didnt really matter to me.
Here is what I want:
4hrs of work: $400+
rights to some of the good photos (resonable amount) like what would keep for myself
dont need the photobook.
Where can I find someone to do this for me for a resonable amount?

Dude, I just went through this myself...
What you forget is - Its "THEIR" Camera and "THEIR" time and "THEIR" skills.
You get what you pay for.
Did the mona lisa get to keep the painting of herself???
It was the artist's work of art not her posing that made that painting.
Same as you standing there with your bride to be...any fool can point and click but to make sure it all comes into focus...has everyone in it and not cropped...no red eye...and many other things you need a professional, expecially if you want to be in the picture.
1500 is the average price I found and thats not a bad deal.
You might want to PM Natchez and talk to him and see if he will be able to make you happy.
But all photographers will want you to pay more if you want a disc of all the pics to make prints of it yourself. Some will provide a disc you can look at on your comp but not print off for free. Its "THEIR" work of art not yours thats why they can copyright it. You just happen to be in the picture and want a copy of it.

Yeah 400.00 is very little if you want them there for pics ..before...during..after...then the reception... Thats a lot of time and a lot of pics...especially for two people.
