Default Vehicles on property info needed

Where can I find the legal info regarding vehicles on your property? I thought it was if they were not visible from the street when passing by you are OK.

Thanks, Nick

What does it matter? It's your property, you can have a vehicle wherever you want.

Landlord says I cannot keep my unplated car (vehicle bought to resale) on the property. I say "screw you, yes i can". I am just looking for the law that says that as well.

I know in the city of norfolk, the vehicle (if not in a garage) has to be tagged and insured.

https://www.vadriven.com/forums/twisties-28/unregistered-track-car-194438/

Virginia Beach Municipal Code in Article VII "Storage of vehicles" Sec. 16-40. "Open storage of inoperable vehicles on residential, commercial or agricultural property" defines an unregistered vehicle as the same as inoperable (since it has no plates or inspection) so it can not be covered by a tarp but still needs to be shielded from view.

You can have it titled but not registered. That's fine and exempts you from insurance.

Um, it's his property so he can pretty much tell you whatever he wants.

If I were the landlord, there'd be a tow truck hauling out that unregistered vehicle from my property. But that's just me.

Just keep an eye on what the guy in the trailer to each side of you does. That's a good indicator.

Haha... jk. The city will get on your ass if it's not plated, but if it's under a cover... they don't have the right to check. Just throw it in the back yard, put a car cover on it, and break out a shotgun if a city inspector comes around.

City inspector said as long as it was out of sight it is fine. Where can I find this written down? I have been reading the city codes compliance on municode.com for a while now and still do not see anything that pertains to vehicle storage.
