i would guess they were stolen......it's hard to believe that a company would keep tires in their inventory for THAT LONG...

Im with you, very hard to believe, especially when they are remington tires.... apparently the story was, lees tire off little creek went out of business and this shop bought their inventory....

This could have all been avoided if you simply looked the product over before paying.
I don't understand why people don't understand such a simple buying concept. Buying something? Look at it first. Make sure it's what you need. Check stickers. Check dates. For CHRIST'S SAKE IT'S S FUCKING INVESTMENT OF YOUR OWN FUNDS. You'd think it would be worth your time to spend 30 seconds looking it over before buying. /rant

The thing was, i was working all day and couldbt take them up so i had a friend do it and i guess he didnt look them over very well

Its possible that they have sat and someone bought up the inventory.
People pay good money for certain old tires that are NOS. Gatorback tires and premium sportway

I hear ya on that! Summer time is crazy! We get about 200+ twice a week. We have out Corp Truck out of Manassas and then we use Carroll Tire out of Norfolk.

I used to sell used tires, all come from dealerships. Someone gets a flat on a new car with fresh tires, they pay for a full set rather than run mismatched tires. The other 3 get set aside for us to come get. Inspect them and you're good, but saying used tires are a bad idea is foolish.
They never sat long once we got them, craigslist buyers cleared us out. Rarely had to post anywhere else.
