Is there a law stating you cant sell a tire if it over a certain age? Just had four tires mounted yesterday and got home and found out they are 13 years old and i cant get my money back apperently, they are apperently brand new and never been driven on even on my car

Do you HONESTLY believe that tires are 13 years old and NEVER USED? i have on average 1100 tires in my store at any given time and they never stay longer than 6 months...

I wouldn't say it is bad to purchase used tires, you save a lot of money, as long as you inspect them first, thoroughly, you should be good. But you're the tire guy, you would know!

I'm wit you, I have a little over 2000 tires at my shop and none of them are over 1.5 - 2 years tops. But we inventory it every 6 months and we also sell about 300 tires a week. We also get a tire truck twice a week with new tires.

It is very bad to purchase used tires, they are off the vehicle for a reason and you won't know til you install them on your car. My company won't even allow us to mount used tires.

You won't see a bubble in a tire til you air it up. We actually had a used tire blow up on us 3 years ago. Doesn't feel very good!

I used to sell used tires, all come from dealerships. Someone gets a flat on a new car with fresh tires, they pay for a full set rather than run mismatched tires. The other 3 get set aside for us to come get. Inspect them and you're good, but saying used tires are a bad idea is foolish.

They never sat long once we got them, craigslist buyers cleared us out. Rarely had to post anywhere else.

I get Terry's Tire Town, a corporate truck and a local truck all in the same day. sucks getting 100+ tires in a single day

From what they told me they are brand new, they probably did lie yes, but the lie was added onto by them still having the original manufacturer sticker on the tread
