Default tinting a silver car

Not trying to get X to pimp my ride but I do want a tint job. Anyone have tint on a silver car and if so what kind. I know there are a couple of different kinds so any info would be good. Also not looking to be flashy so no recommendations for limo tint or anything like that.

Get Llumar tint (lifetime warranty) and get at least 20% all around. Remember the lower the % number the darker (light transfer percentage). Don't go w/the legal 50/35 tint for VA, it's not worth the $.

I've wondered the same thing... I don't want anything obnoxious, but something to keep it cooler/more private in the car... isn't 20% pretty damn dark?

I have 5% all the way around on my car, Silver 4 door Spectra. The only reason I went so dark was really for privacy and too keep the sun out, not just because it looked cool.

eh, sorta. I had it on my old accord. i cant say this pic will do justice because of the angle makes it look darker than it was, but oh well... ignore the smudge It's nothing the cops will bust U-turns and come after you over, but if ones sitting next to your its a sure thing. I only got pulled once for it and that was leaving NOPI and the cops where out just busting everyone leaving at the time for any and everything.

20% is the best looking tint i think. Not too dark, not light. When the cop measured my windows he read 10% when he showed me the guage because of honda's factory tint in the windshield already. Definetly didnt seem like 10 to me though.

20% does look pretty good but about how much will that cost for my civic? $100, $200?

2dr your looking at around 125-150 and 4dr 125-185 depending on shop. As far as a good tint shop I would recommend is Willie's Mobile Tinting in NN, he does work on weekends by appt.
