Description

A growing web services company is seeking a highly motivated entry level technical support representative for our Virginia Beach office.

Our technical support reps are our company's personal representatives to our clients. The right candidate will always have a strong desire to help and will take the extra time to do so.

Experience
- 1 to 2 years in IT, Technical Support, Customer Service, related experience is preferred.
- Internet technologies including FTP, POP/SMTP, Linux file systems, and DNS..
- H.S. Diploma is required and some college work preferred.

Skills
Knowledge of web hosting including Cpanel, Web Host Manager (WHM), Apache, DNS, PHP, MySQL, Perl, or other hosting technologies are highly desirable.

Compensation
- Compensation is in accordance with experience and commitment. The range is $10 to $12 per hour for a beginning Tier I Support Representative. Bonuses based on performance are also available.
- Health and Dental Plans available aver 90 days

Tasks
- Provides highest quality customer service and support at all times.
- Performs immediate analysis of customer problems and directs the implementation of corrective action to restore function and avoid recurrence.
- Maintains accountability and ownership of incident until resolved.
- Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall efficiency.

Requirements
- Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to help
- Previous related experience or equivalent education/training
- Experience working on or maintaining a website
- A friendly, positive and polite attitude
- Motivation to advance
- Must be open to work any shift after the paid training period (day, night, weekend)
