THEY DIDN'T LIE TO US THIS TIME

FAITH IS RESTORED

 

I drove to work this morning in my Mustang. Azenis' dont do that bad in the snow. Other than spinning in gears 1 through 4 (my car has like 190whp), it wasnt that bad.

 

THE KIND HAS ARRIVED!!!

 

i just about died this morning on the way to work at 5am. roads were really bad on old princess anne road. i hate snow and ice.

 

it just keeps snowing sideways in suffolk.. wonder how the roads will be tomorrow, seeing as the temp is gonna be around 15 tonite and the high Tuesday is 29

 

drove the truck today. no issues.

 

I almost drove off of the Terminal Blvd/564 overpass this morning. I was one of the first 3 cars to cause the back up for the rest of the day Work van looks to be toast.

 

Damn jason, that sucks. You're ok I guess. How bad is the car fucked up?

 

Yea Im ok Shawn. Little sore from getting tossed around but other than that Im good

Well it was the work van. Pretty sure its totaled. Its a 1 ton van loaded down with pipe and fittings. Weighs in at about 2 tons total. Not very easy to stop on ice

I was leaving my house and going over the over pass @ about 10-15 mph because I knew it was going to be icy. As I got to the top there was a Rodeo In my lane facing me. I let off the gas and slowly moved into the right lane but hit ice and slid into the right guardrail then bounced off and went into the left on. Bounced off that and was sliding down the ramp sideways right into the Rodeo.

Reason the Rodeo was in my lane was because he sideswipped a truck and got spun around.

I Jumpe out right away and then busted my ass on the ice trying to make sure the other guy was ok. He was. Trooper didnt give any of us tickets because he saw it all happen and said none of us were at fault. VDOT never salted the over pass. and said they were to blame. He said we were driving below a safe speed haha. Go figure.

All this took place about 6am. We were the first 3 cars to wreck there. After we moved the cars down to the Granby split there were accidents every Id say 3-5 minutes for the next 2 hours atleast.

 

Damn that blows. Luckily it was a work van and not your personal vehicle.
