Snow !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
It's snowing sideways here in VB. Most I've seen it snow since I moved here. Having grown up in MA, I'm still confused by how a light dusting manages to cause this area to fall into utter chaos, but who am I to argue with a day off college?
hah, most people around here can barely drive in the rain..Hell people freak out when they go into tunnels like its the end of the world and slam on brakes....
and for some reason the tunnel thing happens in every city.
it's the ice. everyone thinks its no big deal if they are from up north, but down here this ish is a rarity. we aren't used to it. i know i haven't driven in this weather in 5 years and i was on pins and needles the whole way to work.
Ha, I've noticed the tunnel thing too. The weird thing is people in NC were better at driving in the snow and ice than they are here. Then again, people in NC (not Chapel Hill/Raleigh/Durham, but real NC) were better at driving in general than people here.
Snow: 1 Vette: 0

On my way back from DC last night, got caught up in the storm on 295. Traffic came to a stop and vette wouldn't move (well it would sideways). Pushed it off to the side, tried to get a tow truck out there, but none would come. Had someone following us back from DC so she gave me and my buddy, and another guy who also got stuck with us (in a CLK 63AMG) to a hotel. Guy in the AMG payed for our hotel room for the ride. Came back next morning to find a tow truck taking off with my car, got them to pull over and unload the car about a mile down the road from where he picked it up. . . $150 later I was on my way back home.
