sad news for milatary members?
i dont think its gonna happen but you're misled by this comment.
most of them they will tell to just live on the boat. they have a rack assignment. if they cant afford to live out in town, tough shit. (thats how the navy thinks). when i first joined the navy single E-5's had to request to live ashore. those that were denied (like me) got a roommate, lived on the ship or tightened up and learned to budget solo. that was only 10 years ago the navy has NO PROBLEM taking money from sailors to meet their bottom line.

I'm happy I'm in the Air Force.
talk to some of the older guys (the ones that are retired) ask them how long they lived on a ship or in barracks before they were allowed to get a place out in town. I'm so tired of the whiny little pussies these days thinking they deserve this and that. Suck it up, just from your original statement, even if this didn't happen, and you did get your G35, you would most likely be too broke to drive it.

Keep your BAH but start paying car tax! I got soaked for $900 car tax for one car while 99% of military keep out of state plates for the sole purpose of avoiding the car tax. It's BS because 99% of the traffic around here is military. I live off hampton blvd.

2. That isnt how the Navy thinks, maybe people in your chain of command, but i do not believe you have the first clue about how "BIG NAVY" works.
3. Every branch would lose BAH if this were to go into effect. Notice it is called MILITARY PAY CHARTS, MILITARY BAH RATES, not NAVY PAY CHARTS, NAVY BAH RATES.
Seems to me you are misled
