Riders down on 264
I have zero pity for anyone that does something stupid and gets hurt doing it. In fact I've always said stupidity should be painful.

bottom line is there is a time and place for everything i will be the first to admitt il raise the front wheel but not in traffic and not if anyone is near me. both bikes and cars need to use some judgement and courtesy for each other i do not condone passing on the right or spliitin lanes and every other stupid thing alot of bikers do... but like others have said at a light we r on the side to avoid oil and to give our self an escape route. there have been many times i was riding and cars come over in my lane and almost hit me what people that dont ride fail to relize is bikers 9 out of 10 times are more aware of whats going on around them than any other vehicle operator on the road due to less distractions(cell radio talking eating smoking etc.) but yes alot of the accidents are self inflicted but not all and you need to remember that just as everyone who drives a import dont pimp apc stickers and do burn outs and try to drag race in parking lots..
Just a little food for thought.

Nothing wrong with passing on the right. I do it on the bike and in the car.
Until American drivers realize that the left lanes are not for cruising 5 below the speed limit, or better yet gtfo of the way for faster vehicles. I will continue to pass on the right.
In Germany, and most of europe, passing on the right is forbidden and slow fux also keep to the right, and when they do find themselves in the left lane they move over for faster traffic. Quick fast and in a hurry.
I can count on one hand the amount of times this happens on 264 and 64 each week. They sometimes move for my car, but even less so when I'm on a bike, I guess they feel its their fukin job to try to box me in using the guy next to them, and stop me from going about my business.
Thankfully my exhaust is stupid loud, so dropping to 1st or 2nd at 60mph eventually annoys the fuk out of them and then they move.
I try not to pass on the right more times than I can recall, but sometimes its pointless, so I just go around.
I haven't lane split in forever, and its usually a last resort when some driver decides they want to build a moving road block on the HWY and I've waited about 5mins and they're still blocking me and about a half mile long caravan of cars behind them. 1st gear redline splits is a good way to discourage future attempts to play cop and hold up traffic.
I can't wheelie so that's not an issue, and using e lanes is for emergencies and pouring rain, while sitting in traffic, to get to the nearest overpass or exit.
Other than that I consider myself a sane rider, on the HWY.
