Question Place to resurface rotors

I've actually got 2 sets of rotors that I'd like to get resurfaced. First is a set of stock EM2 (2001+) Civic rotors. They are already off of the car. The other is a set of ProStop rotors. They're slotted and dimpled and are currently on the car. They look and feel to be glazed over and just don't really stop worth a damn. Brake pads are relatively new, so I know it's not them.

Anybody know of a place (preferably in Virginia Beach or Norfolk) that can go ahead and resurface these? If it's easier for them, I can get the rotors off of the car. Wouldn't take too long at all.

any brake stop should be able to turn them. just remember- a rotor is normally good for only one turn. after that, just get some new ones.

Yeah, I figured that. I'm just kinda worried about the slotted/dimpled not being able to be turned. I want to get some more use out of them, especially considering I paid almost $200 for them. Boy, that was a mistake.

I think the ProStops just got too hot over time and have been glazed over all to hell. I was running EBC Greenstuffs on them (even bigger mistake!) and I think they were just too hard and cooked them. I switched to some Hawk HPS and they stop good, but not like they used to. Besides, I figured resurfacing them will be pretty decently cheap. Of course I'm going to get some new pads to go with the fresh surface.

How much would the resurfacing set you back?

Would it be wise to get some blanks and some new pads?

I've already got blanks, my OEM rotors. They weren't on the car too long. I'd say less than 15k miles. I just want to get them resurfaced. Of course I'm going to get new pads when I put the resurfaced rotors on. Probably some Hawk HPS again. They've been great thus far. Low to no dust and good stopping ability.

Cool.. just wondering the miles on them.. normally it is better to just replace them.. but they sound like the have some life left.
