What I love at 78 are the Spring rolls.

 

Are you kidding me Chris? I've had Pho #79 once, wasn't too impressed by it. I usually eat Pho #78 at least once a week now, much better!

Speaking of that, lets head over there for lunch sometime next week!

Sunday I might go down to ACU-4 and spectate in the morning, so lunch would be good.

 

Pho 78 is disgusting. They don't serve their food properly (i.e. using regular rice in com tam instead of broken rice, dry rice vermicelli, iceberg lettuce instead of bib lettuce). Pho 79 is pretty okay. This is the only place my family will eat at, and ONLY if we are super lazy about cooking. Vietnam House over by Pembroke Mall, in the same shopping center as K-Mart is alright, too.

P.S. - Go to Eden Shopping Center in Falls Church for the authentic shit.

saigon #1 on newtown road. from princess anne going to va beach blvd. on the right.

i tried them all. they give the freshest veggies. and they arent super fresh like it should be, just freshest in the area. other resturants like to water down the soup and give old veggies and think that other people, ie americans, wont know the difference. so yeah, saigon #1 = closest to the real thing in the 7 cities imo
