Hey people, I recently had my car stolen, on Friday, and posted it here. My friend brought something to my attention. He had his car stolen and believe it was a shop that stole it. It was stolen after he had a shop do an alignment. He paid with his checking/debit car and after that it was stolen. He believes the shop used the information that's gathered from the card, it'll give the billing address. I never took my car to a shop until this year when I wanted to get a dyno run and I used my checking/debit card to pay and now its gone. Not to mention the shop that did the dyno had a couple of integras waiting maintenance. So if any of you had your car stolen, did you happen to take it to any local shop and pay with a checking/debit card? What shop did you take it to?

 

My sisters integra has had several people try, but to no sucess yet. I don't think she's taken it to any shops recently or at all for that matter.

 

someone has in the past tried to jack mine. theres a dent on the c pillar where they tried to use a crow bar

 

A friend of mine had this theory, just had taken it to a shop for some work, paid with a credit card, and had 3 attempts in one week.

 

police really need to investigate that shiet


lo jack a fawking car...bring to shop & pay with cc/debit
and arrest the fawker who did it

I hadn't ever taken my Integra to a shop and my shit was jacked.

 

He had tint put on at TNT window tinting, bunch of shadyness going on there...period...people looked like they were gunna steal it right then, and uh...New beginnings auto...for a paint job...and that was it i think

 

i've never had a customers address come up on the cc machine. the only info most omni units, as well as most POS units that are PC based, will ask for is the billing zip code.

my bet is that IF it did happen like that, they got the info from the RO, not the CC info. rarely will any place make an impression of the card anymore, but they could have gotten the CC info from that if they dont have a terminal and do phone in charges.
