Old Town Suffolk
northern end is fine.
downtown is ghetto as fuck. gunshots can be heard from the firestation on any givin friday/weekend.
out towards holland is the same as the northern end. old people who like to forget their insulin.

I'll just say I won't go there
The 2 miles from va beach line really exaggerated. I don't live in suffolk, but am here everyday of the week and been all over here for majority of my life(15 years). I don't consider it bad, downtown is not ghetto the surround areas are majority black.
Not gonna lie you see shady characters occassionally walk up and down main st. But the court house is right in front of the address you gave meaning cops frequent the area so safety isn't a big issue. I used to walk to my barbers on east washington street and never once had anyone try to or attempt to rob me, but like everywhere you go watch your surrounding. And where I'm at is like 3 or 4 doors down from that office.

Well damn, this doesn't sound very promising at all.

Suffolk is growing at a huge rate due to all the city folk getting tired of over priced housing and traffic.
Down side is we now have housing prices getting worse as well as more traffic. Future "Wood Bridge" of southern VA.
