What day/days will you be playing? I live in Newport News and will be playing Tuesdays and Thursdays up here. I don't mind heading down there for a doubleheader if you can get a day that doesn't interfere.

My shoulder is still in mild recovery from a torn rotator cuff injury I got from a motorcycle accident, but I can throw about 50-60%, and I can pitch. Typically I'm an infielder and play 2nd or 3rd and occasionally pitch, but I don't care to trust myself on a deep ball to cutoff or a hard throw across the diamond, so I'll stick with 1st, pitcher, and catcher.

LMK if you can find out more info and if its right, I'm down.

 

I am definitely down, my roomate would like to play as well, but we would need to know a practice/game schedule.

We list our top choices for days/fields. They try to give us our first choice, but can't guarantee anything.

 

Here are some good guidelines.

Have AT LEAST 2 PITCHERS (already stated)
Don't carry any less than 12, no more than 14
NO METAL SPIKES
Don't run on Levi.

Only rules. And don't try and shotgun the pitcher (don't intentionally try and rip it up the middle).

How many games are played a week? and usually what time are these games played? or is this also something that is undetermined until they let us know?

 

2 games per week (doubleheader).

Times normally start at 6:30/7:30 and 8:30/9:30. That is how they are scheduled. Or within 15 minutes +/- that.

Also make sure everyone has ID's with them just in case they get an ich to check ID's per the roster.

 

Men’s leagues play on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Coed leagues play on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. For example, if you play in a Tuesday division, you would play doubleheaders every Tuesday evening. On the registration form, you can check what night and you would get that night if there was room still available.

That is an e-mail directly from the Department of Recreation for those who are still unclear about the scheduling. I personally prefer Tuesday nights.
